One Sabbath Jesus and His disciples were visiting the temple in Jerusalem, as they often did on Jewish feast days. All kinds of people were at the temple that day. Some came to offer sacrifices, and some came to give offerings and pray. However, some came because they needed to beg for food or money. As Jesus walked through the court of the temple, He noticed a blind man sitting on the stone pavement begging.
