Everybody was talking about the resurrection of Jesus. According to Mary Magdalene and several others, He was alive! The Roman soldiers were spreading a rumor that Jesus was not alive. They said, “Jesus’ body was stolen from the tomb by His disciples.” But everyone knew that this was a lie that the priests had started. Then there was a very large group of people in Jerusalem that weekend who surprised everyone who saw them. They were those who had been raised from the dead when Christ arose. Those people went around saying, “Jesus has risen from the dead, and He raised us also.”
