Chapter 37 – Absalom Rebels

It was becoming clearer every day that Absalom intended to be the next king of Israel, and what was there not to like about that idea? He was handsome, confident, and daring. King David had always been a humble man, while Absalom was arrogant and conceited. David had been a deeply spiritual man since his days as a shepherd boy, whereas Absalom’s actions showed very little evidence of a connection with God.
