Jesus had done many miracles in the towns and villages of Galilee, and His fame spread throughout the land. Everywhere He went there were people begging to be healed. Sometimes He spent an entire day on into the night healing people. The crowds clogged the narrow streets of the towns he visited. They pressed around Him on the beaches along the lake where He sometimes preached. He was always helping people wherever He went. He was so compassionate and kind. Never did He turn away anyone who came to Him sincerely looking for help.
