While Paul was in prison, he wrote a lot of letters to the churches that he had started. The letters were written to encourage the churches, to tell the believers what God wanted them to do, and to warn them of ways that Satan might try to tempt them. One of the letters that he wrote was to the church in Ephesus. In this letter, he told the believers that the Christian life is similar to that of a Roman soldier.
