By now everyone in the land of Canaan was worried sick about the Israelites. From the most strongly fortified cities in the north, to the Amorite cities in the south, they were all beginning to panic! The Hebrews had conquered the most fearsome peoples east of the Jordan. They had crossed over the river on dry ground. They had destroyed Jericho, the richest and most heavily guarded fortress of the southern Jordan Valley. What would they do next?
