Paul was on his way to Rome to stand trial before Caesar. He had been at sea for many weeks now, but a storm had driven them off course. Now the ship had hit some rocks and was breaking up. There was nothing to do but jump into the ocean to save themselves. Paul had said that God would help them all make it to shore safely, and they did. They all survived the shipwreck. Not one perished.
