The disciples all awoke with a start. “It’s time to go!” Jesus said, shaking some of the disciples to wake them up. “See, My betrayer is here already.” Sure enough, as the disciples all crowded around Jesus, they could see a line of lights coming up through the garden. While Jesus was still speaking, a mob with swords, clubs, and lanterns arrived and surrounded Him. The chief priests and elders of the temple were there too, with some temple guards.
