Paul was on his way to Rome. It was not a good time of year to travel. Late October was a terrible season for trips by sea because violent storms could come up at any time on the Mediterranean. He warned the captain of the ship that traveling was unsafe for men and the ship’s cargo and that the voyage would end in disaster. But the Roman centurion who was transporting Paul to Rome wouldn’t listen
