Chapter 28 – A Terrible Night in the Garden

Jesus and His disciples had spent the evening in the upper room celebrating the Passover. Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, introducing a new Christian ceremony called the foot- washing service. Then He introduced another part of that ceremony called Communion. This ceremony included bread, which represented the body of Christ, and grape juice, which represented His blood that would be shed for you and me. Jesus passed the bread and grape juice around for the disciples to eat and drink.
