When someone breaks the law, the police come to the scene of a crime. They question witnesses, take notes and photographs, and see if they can decide what actually happened. Sometimes even a detective shows up to look at all the evidence, and if lawyers get involved, they do an investigation and go to trial. That is what happened when Lucifer rebelled in heaven. He broke the law of God, but claimed that he wasn’t guilty.
