Jesus had several disciples by now. Peter, Andrew, James and John had joined Him officially one morning while they were fishing on the Sea of Galilee. Philip from Bethsaida had made the decision to follow Jesus and brought Nathaniel along too. All of them were simple men and good Jews as could be expected, since they were disciples of Jesus.
