Not long after God delivered Jerusalem from the Assyrians, Hezekiah became very sick. God sent the prophet Isaiah to the palace to give Hezekiah a message. “Thus says the Lord,” said Isaiah, “‘Set your house in order, for you shall die.’” The Bible says that Hezekiah was very upset. He turned his face toward the wall and wept bitterly and prayed. He didn’t want to die. He was barely 40 years of age. He knew his situation was serious, but he also knew there was hope in prayer.
