Hezekiah was one of the best kings to ever sit on the throne of Judah. This is surprising considering that his father was King Ahaz, who was a very evil man. He not only led the kingdom into idolatry; he also shut up the house of the Lord. He did this by destroying some of the sacred articles of the Lord and locking the rest up. This completely shut down the sacred sacrificial services that the Lord had told the people to do.
