The scribes and Pharisees were always trying to get Jesus in trouble. They would come and ask Him trick questions, but Jesus never let them worry Him. He always had an answer that would make them look foolish. Then they would just walk away. When Jesus was talking to the scribes and Pharisees, He often used parables to make His point. Parables were simple enough for the common person to understand, and yet they were deep enough for the highly educated scribes and Pharisees.
