The nation of Judah really suffered under the reign of Ahaziah because he was a wicked king. He did evil in the sight of the Lord. When Ahaziah was murdered, his mother, Athaliah, started her own reign of terror. She killed all of the royal heirs, including all of the king’s brothers and even his children. None of them survived, except one.
