One of the most famous stories in the Bible is about Jonah and the whale. Jonah was a prophet who lived in Israel about 800 years before Jesus. He lived during a time when most people no longer worshipped the God of heaven. God spoke to Jonah, telling him, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.”
