It was Sunday, and Jesus had just arrived in Jerusalem after riding on a donkey all the way from the little town of Bethphage. Thousands had followed Him, waving palm branches and singing hosannas to the Son of David. Everyone had been so excited to see Jesus doing what many rulers did when they were being crowned king in Jerusalem. Jesus and the disciples now went up to the temple. The crowds followed them as they slowly made their way through the narrow streets of Jerusalem.
