God blessed Solomon as He said He would, and he became the richest king in the land of Canaan. After Solomon built the Temple for God, he spent 13 years building a palace for himself. The palace was magnificent and incredibly beautiful! He made a royal throne of ivory and covered it with pure gold, and on the six steps to the throne were 12 carved lions, one on the end of each step.
