During the 1600s, the Church of Rome fought back against the Protestant reformers who tried to spread the gospel. More and more Protestant pastors were being thrown out of their churches because they preached the gospel of Jesus. John Bunyan was one of those English pastors who stood bravely for Jesus. He was a very popular speaker, because he preached from the heart and was a wonderful storyteller.
