Jesus told many wonderful stories. However, one of the most beautiful stories that has become an all-time favorite is about a father who had two sons. One of the sons became very tired of living and working under his father’s rules. So he went to his father and said, “Father, I have had enough of this place! I feel like I am in jail. All I do is work, work, work, and what do I get for it? There is a whole world out there, and you are keeping me from it. This might be fine for you and my older brother, but it is not for me. “I want my inheritance, and I would like it now. It isn’t fair that I have to rot away on this stupid farm when I could be enjoying a life of fun and freedom.”
